You may have heard about Spectre and Meltdown, two security flaws revealed by Google that could allow hackers to steal sensitive information from computing devices.

What can I do?

There’s one thing you can do to avoid the security flaws: update your computers with the latest security fixes as soon as possible. Fixes for Windows 10 are automatically installed, but that is not the case on Windows 7 and 8, where it has to be done manually until Patch Tuesday. On Mac, only versions 10.13.2 and higher are considered safe.
